"I think its great that your studying in Bournemouth, you get to go to London have your fun and then come back here and concentrate in isolation." he also said we looked a lot healthier then students in London, this i thought was funny.
He's right though, i love being able to go to London do what i need to do and leave again, i cant handle all the people, its nice to know we can come back to normality at the end of it all.
I look forward to staying in london its almost like a treat, an exciting adventure!!!
I am currently working for The Doll. at ON/OFF fashion week event.
I came a day early so i could explore some of London's specials....
I went to the V&A and saw the Fashion Textiles exhibiton which was great, it was very much static, but i think its nice to still have the old fashioned traditonal glass cabinets exhibitng the clothes so there are no distractions.
Next was Dover Street market, exhibiting clothes by COMME des GARCONS and various other designers, i love the display of the clothes its fun to look at, it makes me want to work harder so one day i can afford the clothes.
Bond street was close by so i went to have a look in the Chanel Store to help with my current project, i feel like an outcast however it was useful and the way the store was set out was exactly how i had imagined, classy, comfortable and to the point.
Whenever im in London and try and visit all the famous department stores and glare into all of the windows, i saw harrods and selfridges.
So i managed to fit a lot of things in one day and felt satisifed.
Now all was left to do was work at the fashion shows.
It was amazing getting to stand amongst the guests and watch the shows, lond days and lots of dressing models, but was all worth it, i think its great experience and priceless for the c.v!
I found myself observing the guests as they got to there seats and analysing there style, there were some extraordinary outfits and it definitely made me rethink about experimenting with clothes.
While i was staying in London i thought it was necessary to visit Brick Lane, its such unique experience i loved the feeling that is released, so many different approaches to fashion, i also went to Spitalfields Market which was close by, i love being surrounded by all kinds of crafts and think these places will be around forever.
